If you would like to have your own special tribute to Stephen on this website you can use this link and we will add your thoughts

...After hearing of Stephen during my term as Lord Mayor of Canterbury when he spent every night in a tent to raise funds for a hospice coupled with the fact that was the year I 'retired' after some 50yrs of being in scouting, I feel moved to offer my condolences to his family, friends and scouting on the tragic loss of a fine young man who was so obviously a rising star with a fine future in front of him in whatever he chose.

Sincerely, Pat Todd

... Stephen was a bright light in anyone's life who knew him and our thoughts are with Judy and his immediate family at this difficicult time.

... Charlie was very upset to hear of Stephen Young's death. He said he was a really funny bloke and he enjoyed being with him when he saw him at camps and when he came to your cub night occasionally. I just thought that I'd e-mail in case you were getting in touch with the family so you could also pass on Charlie's thoughts and condolences to Stephen's family.

Stephen Young...

... There are no words that can be said at this very sad time but I hope you can take comfort in knowing your son was a lovely young man and a credit to you and your family. If our son grows up to be half the man that Stephen was then I will be very Happy.   Dan, Jo Sian & Sam x
